What we collect
Nothing, unless you send it. The site sets no tracking cookies and runs no advertising or analytics scripts. Your design lives in your browser; refreshing the page clears it unless you save a link or file.
If you submit the contact form or send a report from the design tool, we receive what you entered (name, email, message) and, for reports, your property boundary, your answers and a link that reopens the design. Messages are emailed to us from our web host, Hostinger, which also keeps a private backup copy on our server. We use this only to reply to you and to provide services you ask about. We don't sell or share it, and we'll delete it on request — email eamon@soilsolutions.us.
Services your browser contacts
To measure your land, your browser requests data directly from public services, which see the location you are looking at (but not your name):
- OpenStreetMap Nominatim and Photon (komoot) — address search
- Amazon Web Services — elevation tiles
- NASA POWER — climate data
- USDA-NRCS Soil Data Access — soil survey data
- Esri and OpenStreetMap — map imagery
- Google Fonts and unpkg — fonts and the open-source map library
Each has its own privacy policy.
Using the reports
Reports are general educational guidance generated from public data and your answers. They are not engineering, surveying, legal, water-rights or permitting advice, and they may contain errors — especially estimated keypoints and keylines, which must be checked on the ground. Earthworks, dams, stream work and grading often need licensed professionals and permits. You use the reports at your own risk; Soil Solutions LLC provides them as-is, without warranty.
